ACFB Hunger Walk Fundraising

It’s that time of year again – the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s 36th annual Hunger Walk Run will take place on Sunday, March 15! The FGR Family is gearing up for an epic month of fundraising to match last year’s $100,000 goal in support of the Food Bank’s initiatives to end hunger in 29 metro Atlanta and North Georgia counties.

The Hunger Walk Run is the Food Bank’s largest fundraiser, aiming to build funds and awareness of the local food crisis and raise critical dollars for hunger relief through the 5K event each spring. Since the event’s start in 1984, it has provided more than 42 million meals for people in need of food assistance. Choosing to walk or run, thousands of participants come together each year to support neighbors in need and celebrate achievements already made in the fight against hunger. This year, the race will be hosted at the Home Depot Backyard, adjacent to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Fundraising efforts are spearheaded by each of Fifth Group’s restaurants as well as Bold Catering & Design, encompassing guest, client and employee donations. Beginning on Monday, February 17, restaurant guests will be invited to donate to the cause via a form on the receipt following their meals, or may contribute directly via the Fifth Group Restaurants team page on the Hunger Walk Run website. As an added bonus for the #FGRFamily, Fifth Group pledges to match every dollar donated by employees up to $5,000.
