Meet Ashleigh Healy! As one of Bold’s talented event coordinators, she enjoys bringing big visions to life by working with our designers and floral teams. Outside of work, she enjoys a relaxing Sunday, including wandering the farmer’s market, cooking at home and working on puzzles. Learn more about her in our #FGRFamily Spotlight below!
Where are you from originally?
I’m a Yankee at heart! I was born in New York and moved around for a bit when I was younger. I’ve lived in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and ended up moving to Georgia in middle school.
How long have you been a part of the FGR family?
A little over a year now – I started in September of last year.
What is your position and what are your responsibilities in this role?
As an event coordinator, I manage all things logistics and execution. I listen to what the designer and the client are envisioning and communicate their vision to our floral and opps team to make sure everything is flawlessly executed from beginning to end!
How did you get into the industry?
I went to school for communications at Kennesaw and through a few internships, I realized I truly enjoyed planning and managing events. My mom actually used to work for Bold’s floral department, so she encouraged me to join the team and I’ve loved it ever since!
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was younger, I wanted to be a professional ballerina and I was actually fortunate enough to pursue that for a while! After high school, I trained with the Atlanta Ballet. I joined their company originally and then moved around a bit with other companies, but knew I wanted to return home to Atlanta to go to school.
Describe yourself in three words.
Honest, creative and reliable!
What is the most memorable event you’ve helped bring to life?
Maybe this is top of mind because it’s so recent, but we just coordinated the Merlin Mitzvah. They are one of the largest Ferrari dealerships and their son’s Bar Mitzvah was hosted at their auto body shop. We completely transformed the space – they had all of their cars up on lifts for display, so it was really unique and cool to see.
What is your favorite Bold menu item?
Definitely the BBQ Sundae Station. I have dreams about it. It’s always a crowd favorite!
What is the first thing you do after an event is over!
I really enjoy cooking, so I always enjoy going home and making a nice meal to celebrate the end of a big event. I find it therapeutic and it’s usually how I relax.
What is your favorite part of town and why?
Not to be biased because I live there, but I love East Atlanta. I’ve lived over there for about five years and love all the different neighborhoods and restaurants. It has a nice sense of community over there.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I would definitely choose France for the food, the people, the fashion!
What do you like to do on your days off?
I keep it simple and relaxing because in this industry, it’s pretty common to only have one day off! Sometimes I feel like an old lady sometimes – I like to head to the farmer’s market, work on puzzles and hang out with my cats and dogs.
What is your favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving! I love having my whole family around and really enjoy cooking all of the food! I’m hosting at our house for the first time this year, so wish me luck!
